Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique keycase to celebrate the brand's centenary.  bentley car keys  is made of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes an eagle-like "B" paperweight, keys, and a booklet featuring never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

This is the ideal way to welcome a new owner of a vehicle.

Aesthetics

As a company that is primarily focused on design, Bentley takes its aesthetics extremely seriously. It's evident in the precise positioning of its quilting, the selection of leather from the by-products of cattle, timber from forests that are sustainably managed and the innovative patterns on its levers. When you drive by a car like the Continental GT W12, its exquisite design is revealed through carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top car. The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for instance, featured the biggest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this bespoke design, attention to detail and craftsmanship to detail that have established Bentley as the most sought-after automobile brand. The company continues to push the limits with the latest technology and workmanship, such as the introduction of a digital instrument cluster, an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof, an artisan-made docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic  smart glass that can be changed from transparent to opaque at the touch of an arrow.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, a century after it was established. The marque, which is owned by Volkswagen without a partner following years of conflict with BMW and Volkswagen, had planned a variety of special events and launches to mark this historic occasion. Prior to the pandemic plan taking center stage, the marque held a series of special events and launches planned to celebrate the occasion.

Design

Bentley is known for its extravagant and luxurious automobiles and even the keys are designed to stand out. The Bentayga key is made of sterling silver and features a large 'B' logo which lets everyone know that you're driving a Bentley. It's also engraved with the years 1919 and 2019 to celebrate the company's centenary.

The Mulsanne was revamped and redesigned by Bentley Mulliner to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. It comes with two pairs of rear seats that were modelled on luxury private aircraft that provide passengers with unbeatable comfort and privacy. The bespoke heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system was developed to give each passenger the ideal temperature control.

Alongside a series of exquisitely executed styling tweaks as well as a suite of stylishly executed styling revisions, the Mulsanne is powered by twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine capable of producing 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This colossal power is complemented by a brand new suspension design that gives Bentley's signature hushed ride.

In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a bespoke specification called the Centenary Specification for cars that were built in 2019. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin.  bentley key replacement  are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests and seats as well as other areas of the car. This enhances the celebration. The Centenary Specification also includes a customized Bentley keycase, adding to the Bentley experience.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons one of which opens the trunk, and another that is used to start the vehicle. It also has a switch to turn on the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors when parked in a tight space. Using this feature can help you get into and out of the car more quickly.

Each key takes two days to make. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, sewed after which it is sealed and polished to create a high-end result. It is compact and strong and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its style is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however it feels heavier and has a more premium feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to help prevent keyless entry theft. The device is inserted into the remote-control fob and it shuts it down in the event that the key isn't used for a few minutes. It blocks thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which will allow the key to be opened and start the vehicle.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the values of the company, which include fine craftsmanship engineering expertise and the latest technologies. Over 4,000 people work at the Crewe headquarters, where they are responsible for the development, design, and production of Bentley automobiles. These workers apply skills that have been handed down for generations and apply them to cutting-edge technology in the automotive industry. This is British manufacturing at its finest.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to create their own car. The customers sit at a set of images, referred to "mood stations" and select a series of photos ranging from scenic vistas to sporting events - that will inspire them. Each time a selection is made, a pattern will emerge which shows the model and color preferences of the customized Bentley.

The guests are given the keys in a case designed by hand, which contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys are also equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps, which illuminate the door-opening pathway with the owner's name or emblem as they approach the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes 500 man-hours on average to construct and assemble the Mulsanne. One of the main reasons for that lengthy effort is a deliberate refusal to embrace modern tech. The Crewe factory workers don't use a machine to space perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Drivers are required to park their vehicles manually, instead of using the built-in sensors to guide them into parallel and perpendicular spots.

In  bentley key fob  of the event, Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities by presenting one particular example - the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited-edition cars include an exclusive key that shows a slice of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
